naw no need to apologize, you're absolutely correct. back in those days their mental standpoints on proper discipline and behavior was different than it is now. what we would consider abusive these days was perfectly normal and appropriate back then.

I just wanna state something; sorry if I offend anyone and/or their opinions >-< . In this Era, manners and etiquette was crucial to how society and politics followed. Ex. Being able to talk back without sounding direct or remaining calm in any humiliating/threatening situation(s). So being able to overcome obstacles such as the private tutor and their “teachings” was needed to be “strong and perfect.” And yes this is abuse, I’m aware, and so angry over >:O
