Aside from how this started.....I'm surprised at the direction this manga took. I certainly wasn't expecting it to get deep - but it did (showcasing anxiety, panic attack, childhood trauma, etc). These two really are perfect for each other.
The only thing I feel it lacking is more of Chihiro's backstory. It almost seemed implied that he was aware of Ryu's existence and cared about him before they ever met. Chihiro caring so deeply for Ryu so early on seemed to come out of nowhere, whereas Ryu was shown gradually falling for Chihiro over time. Idk...I kept feeling like I was missing something and was waiting for an information bomb to drop that never happened.
