MC’s mother is an even shittier than she first appears. After MC changes skin colour, she all of a sudden “shows her love” for her daughter and trying to reason her way out.

Are you serious they really change her skin colour?!? That's terrible and basically ruins the story for me. I wish she really was able to overcome the adversity and show people that her dark skin doesnt make her ugly. UGHHH
