As a Kenyan can I just say I’m so happy with the amount of time and research the author put in to writing this!!! Like first of all, the author did not draw/depict the Massai or Kenyans as “savages” or “poor” but as people with our own distinct and unique culture. Next, adding in that movie about lesbians which a REAL movie (its called “Rafiki”) that was actually restricted in the country due to homophobia. Also the way the Luka wasn’t fethiszied at all!! Like I remeber this one yaoi about an Native American wanting a white boyfriend so bad and I couldn’t get past the first five pages from the amount of fetishsizing, inaccuracies, lake of information and the dereailment of Native American culture. I’m so looking forward to this manga tho, both boys are very cute and the manga itself is so well informed!!!
