At least in the novel this manhua is based off of there is nothing ambiguous about their relationship. I heard the live action series goes the bromance route, being China and all, so this might be left ambiguous as well.
If anything, to get all the smutty goodness you should definitely read the novel.
Its absolutely a romance. Completely and totally gay for each other. The main pair make out, fk, get married etc in the novel. The manhwa and the live action are censored bc china but the mangaka leaked the 1st kiss and I'm pretty sure that's what they're gona do for the rest of the storyline. And imo they were in love in the live action too I mean those hotbeyed stares were everything lmfao

Is the anime censored too?
If I had to rank level of romance , it has the least wen compare to the novel, drama and manga. It was the first thing I watched so it made sense but after I read the novel, manga and watched the drama I realized it left alot of information out. So basically it focuses more on the fight or conflict part rather than the development between lwj and wwx (and also between every other character) but it's animation is reeally good

Is the romance real ? I know it's shônen-ai but is it "shônen-ai" like "we're boyfiriend, in relationship, etc." stuff or is it "shônen-ai" like "well, there's something ambigous about this, maybe gay but not concret *trollface*" ?
