I low-key feel bad for haruta and nachi because I'm sure nachi still loves haruta (with what happened in ch 4) but because of the whole rich/poor situation they probably can't be together :/

I agree but then again, if he really loved him he would’ve gone against his parents morals and values to be with Haruta. Food for thought.

But how would one be able to protect the one they love if they're powerless?

I’m assuming you’re not calling one of them weak bc, rude, but together they could plan and work things out to prosper in their careers. There’s 2 people in a couple relying on each other, not one more than the other. Haratu doesn’t need a “powerful alpha” to protect and provide for him. Just someone to love. And Nachi(?) has shown he cares more about his career than loving, so. We all kinda know who Haratu is going to end up with anyway.

"...prosper in their careers" -- I feel like you forgot this is an ABO world with extreme class prejudices against omega people because this oversimplified solution is pretty confusing. "Just work hard enough, even though omega aren't usually given opportunities nor treated as actual equal citizens" is what you're saying.

Haruta is an omega in a world that discriminates against omegas. Nachi was clear about his motives for wanting to pursue a career in politics which necessitates why he needs to go to that school -- he wants to make the world a better place for omegas in generally and for HARUTA specifically.

Nachi is prioritizing Haruta's future over their current relationship... which would not make sense if he doesn't love and care for Haruta. Nachi and Aoki are both sacrificing things for Haruta which makes the love story effective since it makes it hard for readers to choose.
