I think it’s hard to compare this manga and Hidoku since I feel like the dynamics are different?? Like between Lee Kang and Junho it seems like there is no chemistry at all, it’s all lee Kang being really aggressive and abusive towards Junho. Whilst in Hidoku you can see the chemistry between Maya and Nemugasa develop over time. Honestly it is hard to judge right now because all the chapters show Lee Kang in a negative light, and that’s why everyone sees him that way. Not saying that any backstory or redemption arc are going to redeem what he has done to Junho, but it is needed before making a solid judgement on his actions. Rape can never be justified, but there is always a blurry line between consensual and rape when it comes to yaoi. So far, that blurry line hasn’t really been present whenever Lee Kang rapes Junho, and that is what is making a lot of readers offput. I don’t want to get too much further into the debate and risk offending anyone. Nevertheless, thanks for giving me another perspective.

everyone has read Hidoku Shinaide, right? It has a 9.6 rating, and everyone loves the Maya who raped Nemugasa in the first chapter. Unfortunately, the newbie readers see the word rape and snap. They've managed to drop this manga to an 8.1 rating. It's obvious that Lee Kang has been madly in love with Junho from the start . The guy is bound to go out of his head for Junho. As evil as Lee Kang is, he's going to have to put in equal time being good to Junho in order to win his heart - just like Maya did. that's what I think.
