oh my i didn't i was still unsure about trying yaoi genre that time, you know i was raised to kinda be hesitant to this things. *laughs* i've read sekaiichi hatsukoi as my first yaoi manga and man! i can't go back to the usual pairing anymore (guy x girl stuff) i've watched sekaiichi hatsukoi anime, read all the light novels and even downloaded the ovas. im so inlove with this series. Im into junjou romantica now. i do love them both.
not really....haha anyway sekaiichi hatsukoi and junjo romantica is my 2nd fave BL manga...haha my most favorite is of course Loveprize in viewfinder this is the reason why i really got hooked in yaoi... my 3rd is Totally captivated it's a Korean yaoi and Toshishita bo Ryuugi is 4th... try to look for them if you haven't read it yet... :) i really like BL mangas who have really good looking characters i mean the way they draw the characters oh God how i wish they are all real.. :D i hope i can have a really good looking boyfriend like an international supermodel..haha.. anyway i'm just sharing how about you guys?? :D
... Hmm, so I see you're still in the 'egg' stage. but that's alright, I exactly know how that feels! Well as for me, Junjou Romantica is my first Yaoi. Tell you what-- I watched the entire series in internet shops (you see, I don't have my own PC) and I know how embarrassing it was at first. but I kinda learned to cope with it and now I've read and watched even more Yaoi mangas and animes! Oh, since you liked Sekai and Junjou, I think you'll love to read one of my favorites too! It's 'Doushitemo Furetakunai' I found the title while skimming Anime News Network. a live action movie was just filmed last May 30, and dear, you'll love it!
Hmm, I'm admittedly head over heels for the Finder Series (hell, who wouldn't!?) I haven't tried those last 2 titles you've mention, but I'll try to look for them when I FINALLY got enough time. Well in my case, I'm not really into 'overly handsome' characters. I also kind of into stories more, and less with the sex scenes and 'ideal' boy characters. In fact I rarely read High School themed yaoi manga (after watching Takumi-Kun live action series). As of now I'm into Kou Yoneda's works (Doushitemo Furetakunai is my favorite) and Yamane Amano's too (I seriously feel like I'm already doing a grave sin every time I think about her name). Well... maybe because of the age XD. So I wonder, what pair do you ship the most?
Omg, I'm from Phil. too... Gosh thanks so much for the information... And here I was thinking if only I'll have even just one yaoi manga, it's the best gift ever for myself, my 18th b-day is next month, what a great gift, even if I don't have a party it's ok! And I'm near in Alabang,so gosh I'm so happy!!!! I thought I'll need to buy it in Amazon.... This is a great gift for my debut.
hi again kusarihime-san.. :) ah well, i've been checking everyday every sites regarding updates for the sekaiiichi hatsukoi chapter.. and i've just learn that september scanlation dropped it already.. i mean what's all this fuss about the manga getting license? would that mean it wouldn't be available online frowmm now on? do hope you can help me understand such things.........
Well, I appreciate the scan team taking licensing seriously as they do good translations and I don't want them to get sued but I think they're stopping too early. The 9th volume won't get released until late 2016 to 2017. I don't want to wait another 2 years for an update. I fully plan on buying them but it'll take a while for volumes 1-8 to get published.
On the sublime website, it said the first volume will be released in feb 2015. And in The US, popular series usually get released every 3 months so we'll see 4 volumes per year. I'm not sure what Philippine standards are so I'm assuming a similar time table. If I'm wrong, do correct me. Otherwise, it's more assumptions based on experience rather than hard facts.
... well yes, that's how it will be. That's what my post was about, actually. It's gonna be really sad, but there's nothing we can do as of now. SubLime has now the license to legally translate SKH and publish it, and the scanlators have decided to stop posting it online. So probably we'll have no latest SKH for the next months... unless someone else aside from the September Scanlation would still work on them to share with us...
If they are based in the USA.. they cant scanlate licensed manga..but why one piece and other licensed manga is published in some sites.. i love sekaiichi..if ever there is someone out there who can share their raw manga.. ill help out to publish it in mangatank or other sites.. translated already..
One Piece is so mainstream and comes from a publisher that is pretty damn rich already. They just don't care near as much as the ones that target a specific niche market. I mean, One Piece sold 345 million copies worldwide, then you add up Naruto etc. Yaoi don't sell nearly just as much, hence why they're more bothered by scanlations.
I'm honestly grateful for SubLime's licence for releasing Sekai Ichi's English scanlated version... but even if it would be available on English, I don't think I can't buy one copy. X(
