I'm 28 and still call my father Daddy. I'll probably be 80 years old and still call him Daddy. I don't see anything wrong with it and it makes me happy to see how happy it makes my dad when I call him Daddy

It’s internet culture that ruined the word Daddy. I grew up calling my dad that and now I get awkward every time I call him that even though I know he probably knows nothing about it.

same, but in spanish to my father and in french to my father in law, they both are happy about it heh, some people are just more affectionate than others, nothing wrong with it ^^

Exactly. I'm definitely more affectionate with my daddy then my mom. But my dad didn't have to be my dad. Her married my mom when I was 6 and when I was 10 he legally adopted me so that he could proudly say that he was my father and no one else was. He didn't have to live me as his child, he chose to and went the extra mile to prove it. So, I am a lot more affectionate towards my daddy and will always be his little girl

that's great Roxxanna, and I can totally relate, my "daddy" always been in my life, but before he was my mom's best friend and they married when I was 5, and I adore him ^^

I’m 15 and I still call my father daddy and my mother, mommy. They prefer I call them that cause they still think I’m their little girl and that it makes us sound closer. Mom and dad just sounds very distant idk

Are you sure you'll still be able to call your dad, daddy at the age of 80?

    1. Bold of you to assume my daddy won't live forever. 2. Even if my dad is passed, doesn't mean I will ever stop talking about him, and will still refer to him as my daddy.
