Being transgender has to do with how you identify yourself, not how you transition. It has nothing to do with your physical body. If the main character was magically genderbent and started identifying with the other gender, then the main character is transgender. If the main character chose to identify with the gender they were assigned with at birth, then they are not transgender.
Also, a sizable portion of transgender people do not use surgery to transition. They can use just hormone supplements, and some simply choose to not medically transition at all- and these people are still considered transgender because they don't identify with their assigned gender at birth. People who medically and surgically transition are called transsexuals.

The MC is NOT trans. He got genderbent. Its different. It's way different from transitioning to a different gender. Gender bending is different because the body is made to seem like the opposite gender from the get go... and is usually cause by magic, or science that's on par with magic. Like Lala Devilukes inventions. Someone who is trans uses surgery to become a different gender. Not the same. Hate me if you want I'm speaking the truth
