Something about this tugs at my heart. Something about it is sad and I want to cry but tears won’t come out. It’s not sad because they parted or something tragic happened but maybe because of their whole relationship, it’s not a bad relationship or toxic it’s just a relationship that’s there. I’m sure they love each other but they don’t really speak on it or label themselves. Each live their individual lives and just seek comfort in each other from time to time or just feel relieved knowing the other is in their life in some form. What hit me the most is the fact that Souji just wanted Mika to be happy and how he knew their relationship was built on the fact that they were lonely and got a sense of belonging in each other. It’s the way that they’ve known each other for so long but don’t know much about the person’s life. Their love is just there, floaty around in their little bubble. Something about that seems so sad, once again not in a heartbreaking way but sad like it tugs at my heart.
