Ok so im just a normal 16 year old girl who's into yaoi and i reaaaaally want to own a bl manga but unfortunately hentai/lgbt kind of manga arent available in any shops here in my country and the only way to buy is thru proxy but im afraid to buy one since my family is homophobic and they're always check on whatever i order, so do you guys think i should just be straightforward to them that im into yaoi? Or not since im kinda scared :(

Do what makes you comfortable. I would come straight out to the person you trust most first and lead up from there. Let me know how stuff goes

if you feel like you're ready to tell them i think you should, either way it's something you like and you can't help. i think the only real challenege is getting through their homophobia rather than telling them

Hmm i think you should honestly just wait until you're 18, not to sounds like "oh you're too young you shouldnt be reading that!!" Theres not much you can do since they're homophobic so, ad telling them straight up isnt really the best idea. But ah, well, do whatever you think you should do~

Hello! I honestly think you should wait until you’re of age (18) before telling them about yaoi because it usually has mature elements. Not all parents are as accepting when it comes to these things, so they might just label your love for yaoi as a love for porn (/TДT)/ I’ve been a Fujoshi for years, and I drop subtle hints about liking yaoi (I would also always say things about supporting the LGBTQIA+ community and educate my parents about things like that)
Do what you think is best! If they’re really extremely homophobic, then you’d probably just have to wait

If they are homophobic and you think they will not accept your hobby, I think it would only be inconvenient for you to tell them :/ They will probably reprimand you and forbid you to read this kind of things, it will make a fuss and will only bring problems. At least, as OHBOY said, you should wait to be 18 so you can "legally" read this kind of thing and be old enough to make your own choices (to you parents' point of view, I mean).

It's really good that you want to buy mangas (and then support authors) and I can't believe that I advise someone to not buy mangas xD But wait just a little more I think and it will be okay.

I also agree withCorabug "Do what makes you comfortable", if you think that they will accept you and you're suffering hiding yourself for reading yaois, then you should as well tell them?

DO NOT TELL THEM. or else things will get worse for you. its better to be safe than sorry, seriously. once you become an adult and move out, you are free to order anything you want to.

Huh.... I don't think this kind of behavior is acceptable. Did you try telling what you're living to other people around you? Not only your mother seems to be too much, but also your sister..... Don't your parents protect you from your sister, or you father protect you from your mother? It's serious, you don't have the right to lay your hands on someone!
It's totally okay with you wanting to speak to others about what you're living, your may feel better once express yourself :/
