What a great writer like wow, the characters themselves are flawed but these flaws of them are what made them unique, realistic, and most important of all, very strong. I found Mrs. Nishimiya such a great character even if she has little screentime but man when we see a glimpse of her, through her relationship with her mother and her daughters especially Yuzuru. What I like about them is their dynamic. At first we are shown that Yuzuru has problems with her mother as she often feels misunderstood compared to her grandma. But then we are also shown Mrs. Nishimiya's pov, it's because she wants to raise her children thinking and living independently that she put a cold-shoulder, tough love as I see it. And the climax of their relationship is when all the pieces managed to connect together at their house. The two of them putting up walls around them for them to be stronger for their loved ones. Yuzuru who wants to be strong for her sister and the same could be said for Mrs. Nishimiya. It is when both of them saw Shoko that they could not handle it anymore and started crying. It was a short yet powerful scene, it encapsulates their characters really well. They are flawed yet strong in their own ways. A message beautifully told with this story. A story not black or white but a complex story full of shades of grey. Kudos to the author for making such a wondeful story.
