I think the point of his story was that he didn’t feel lonely but left out at times when he was younger because of how his family and friends make him feel telling him things like you NEED love or someone to have a complete life but that’s not true for him. And it’s condescending to assuming you know what he wants or need better than him. It’s complex but I think he’s completely satisfied and happy with his life.
