So I’m gay... Pansexuel tbh and the only thing I’m reading here is YAOI so here’s the question... why tf do I feel so strange( kinda uncomfortable) reading Yuri?! I really love women but am I the only one who don’t really like to read this shit? I need answers T-T

same it always either way too rushed or no chemistry between them and feels too forced. there is no balance most of the times.

I'm a girl and I don't like reading yuri...maybe because we love women and we highly respect them? (but it ain't mean I don't respect boys it's just different)...so we don't want to see them like that? or it's just uncomfortable 'cuz I'm a girl also?

whatever it is, yuri is wonderful 'cuz it talks about love between women <3

I have no idea wth my sexuality is,,, and same all I read is yaoi here(maybe some isekai) ... I mean I too find reading yuri a bit hard to read I've tried a couple of times to get into it but I never can, some of my friends love yuri but Idk why...i mean yes girls are great but it just feels rlly different to yaoi. (not that I hate yuri)!
I have no idea if that helped but that's my experience with reading yuri and yaoi :) I don't really have any answers.... (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ

I personally feel like it's due to the target audience of the genre. Most yuri is probably created for the fetishization of wlw by male readers, in the same way most yaoi is created and targeted towards female readers. So in that sense, bc wlw might be something we have experienced ourselves in rl, it doesn't feel realistic or fulfilling in manga.
