Didn't you read the translator's note? Everyone in the manga is speaking Kansai-ben which is entirely different from the standard japanese (which is Tokyo dialect). Kansai-ben is spoken in Kyoto and Osaka. It was translated that way to highlight that they're speaking a different dialect.
Is anyone going talk about how they kept saying "ya" in every sentence
