She just so suddenly thought of wanting to put their child in an expensive private elementary just as they were divorced? Like he said, it could've been done during the divorce thingy (idk how that works) but if she wanted money to help with the child that's where it would've came from, even at the end he cleared up the misunderstanding and said he'd give her the money
The ex wife just seems like a jerk, you can't just take your child away from their dad and suddenly show up asking for money, I bet she doesn't even let them meet(づ￣ ³￣)づ
I was thinking the same thing , she bleeds him dry and then comes back for more money she knows he doesn't have. She didn't even care if he ended up homeless.
He’s actually correct. Everything is settled in the divorce proceedings. My own parents got divorced so that’s how I know. All of my issues got split between the two of them and actually my dad had to pay more because they thought it would be best for me to be with my mother rather than my father. Both of my parents were shit so I didn’t really care much but my dad paid twice the amount of legal child support and I only saw half (maybe less?) of it. It wasn’t until he went back to court after he found out I had my own bank account that I started getting the money paid directly to me. The divorce papers states that all money given was for me and me only. He paid off her debts she got during the marriage as her alimony so she was a clean slate so he wasn’t paying her alimony. She thought since he was paying double child support, she could take half and it would be fine since he “volunteered” the money. Legally, she was correct which is why the court changed the ruling after he went back.
This is all to say that he’s not an absent father. I could only see my dad 1 weekend a month and before the divorce was finalised, it was only for 2 hours in a parking lot in a neutral location nowhere near where we lived. After he went back to court, they made an actual ruling on visitation and gave him every other weekend and any holidays I choose to spend with him. The courts aren’t usually in the favour of the father so it’s not his fault that he isn’t seeing his kid and he’s being bled dry by his ex wife.
I’m more mad the ex wife was part of this at all. The author had absolutely no need to include her in any of this.
unpopular opinion but the uke seems to not care at all about his kid, he thinks more about his ex wife than about his son (was it a boy? i cant remember) so im actually ok if he loses his apartment lol absent dad's are the worst.
