For an added twist what if Yuan show they are watching happens to be a direct reflection of Huan Wens life and Yuan thinks Huan Wen is moved by the show. What if Yuan is just being a comforting friend. What is Yuan is so innocent he has no idea why Huan is even crying. So many what ifs lol
If we’re reading between the lines this is a high probability that this is rejection tbh but...
What if Yuan does not have the best perception of himself. So he hears all these “qualifications” that Huan Wen sees in a boyfriend and he thinks he doesn’t amount to that so that’s when he says “ when you get a bf you have to show me”.
What if Yuan is comforting Huan Wen because Huan Wen open himself up and he remembers the pressure Huan Wen felt.
I know to Huan Wen it may be that it is clearly rejection (and it a high chance it could be) but he also lived in his identity very quietly to his grandpa and wasn’t really open with it so perhaps the tears are also being able to finally tell someone else about who he is without fear.
