It's a big mystery, where is MXTX? Some say she's under arrest, others that she's just working on her next novel ( ''There is no rest for the death God''). But if it's the latter, it's kinda strange since she didn't give news for more than one year, and it's really, really strange. She should at least "retweet" (I don't know the equivalent for weibo) about The untamed or her other works' adaptations.

"That's because she makes bl novel", sorry xD But yeah, it's illegal in China. So it's not impossible that she has some issues with the law right now, especially since she's pretty popular (actually, it's strange that China didn't react when even all those adaptations was done - even though they are not really "BL"), and it would be a probable answer to the question "why did she disappear?".
But it's not sure at all. An other point of view is that she has no problems at all with the law and she's just working on her fourth novel.
