Well they way he is downing his drink that’s why he is drunk as well, and he has been warned a couple of times, but even if he doesn’t think much of yanagi he should sill know it makes his bf worried. And the whole time he was indecisive, scared, and cowardly towards his feelings and I know he has to think of his son to but he doesn’t put much work in their relationship kou is the one always fighting for it and supporting him. Naruse can simply say he has a lover and he doesn’t necessarily have to say it’s a man. Why is that so hard?

We all know that aside from exams one of the main reasons Asumi's been away is because hes a bit upset about how Naruse has been responding to all of this. I mean Naruse was the one angry at him because he was supposed to be "single in the office" and was the one comparing him to Yanagi after Asumi warned him about him. Asumi didnt bring up the issue again because he didn't want to upset Naruse so putting space between them was definitely a natural option. I understand not telling Yanagi the first time but when he's clearly making a move because Naruse is "available" I'm pretty sure its about time to be honest even if its just to Yanagi and not to the whole office.
Asumi's been adamant about being with him seriously and building a future together but you can't expect him to always reassure Naruse especially when it seems like it's Naruse's feelings that seem uncertain
He isn’t staying over because naruse told him to not come over and focus on studying, he has been rejected many time by naruse and is scared that he might scare him away or rush into the relationship too fast which might make naruse uncomfortable and he didn’t want his jealousy to affect naruse. Which is why when the situation of him not coming over came up he looked hurt and looked like he wanted to stay with naruse but he know he should burden him so he didn’t say anything and agreed
People in the comments I feel are so quick to judge Naruse. First of all, he’s like super duper drunk rn bc Yanagi ordered him a super strong drink without telling him, which is kind of fucked up like Whut. He’s not even thinking straight and Yanagi is a Dick for getting him so drunk just to try and trick him into being with him or whatever. AND STILL Naruse is still standing his ground even when rly drunk...... plz don’t be mean to him
Naruse has dealt with the single dad stigma from people before and he’s obviously very protective of his feelings because he feels he needs to be in order to ultimately protect Ichika. He’s being a good dad. He obviously loves Asumi but he’s never been with a man before and Asumi’s permanence is a constant worry for him because anything new in his life will ultimately come down to affecting Ichika as a very young child. Thankfully Ichika was too young to remember his mother being a jerk before Naruse left her and took him away, but Asumi getting too close and leaving clearly distresses Naruse, especially because Asumi hasn’t made his permanence very clear these past few chapters bc he’s been away studying and not staying over and making Ichika sad and missing him. There is a lot of internal conflict that is being glazed over as “Naruse just needs to SAY HE HAS A LOVER” when it’s not that easy....... esp when drunk
