I have always hated the scenario where the protagonist ends up with the intimidating one and the one who made him suffer but I'm here rooting for Paulo!!! Best character hands down, he gives me Johan Liebert's vibes: mysterious, intimidating, smart, powerful, cunning, sexy, hot and all of these traits aren't even like those kind of characters that we get in other manhwas because he's really evil, his character is done in not a cliche way. Also, the plot is really really too good for a yaoi..?? the only other manhwa that feels not yaoi is KS, this is too, I get it we have a lot of smut but it actually has a plot that's structured very different from other supernatural bl manhwas, I really like it. The story did surprise me when it made me feel like the protagonist isn't gonna fall in love with the antagonist, and he does love someone else, we're in the endgame and he didn't grow any feelings for him... I'm disappointed actually not because the writing is bad but idk this is the first time I wish something like that would happen. So unlike others, I feel concerned about who Gabriel will end up with even though it's clear that is Saliou or that Saliou would die but Paulo too, so Gabriel would survive all of this. Again, I'm not interested in Saliou, I like Paulo more that's why I care for him.
