This is definitely one of my favorite manga of all time (tip: you can easily find the official English translation by searching for a tumblr blog! It’s a much better experience.) But watching the end of The Good Place recently got me thinking: there is no ethical consumption under capitalism. Parasites eating random humans isn’t helping the environment: I mean, think of the pollution created by cremating their remains and organizing their funerals. Coming back to the folly that is ethical consumerism, the damage humans have done to the Earth isn’t the fault of you or me. It’s the fault of CEOs, politicians, the upper class, and corrupt governments. Perhaps the parasites should be eating those guys. I guess their environmental political party was trying to achieve something similar.
