In the movie ...the egg of the king ...the scene where caska berates guts ...Griffith appears ...and say's it's been three years and you still fight ...guts apologizes ..but (now here's the kicker and the innuendo ) Griffith starts '---Guts you ARE mine ...FIGHT for me ...!!!
You can take it either way ...annnndd ..in the beginning just before their duel guts states ..If you win ..you can make me your soldier OR your whore ...

You don't cry insanely if a person leaves you ..just because he's a soldier ..the banter between guts and Griffith with Thick with suggestion ...even in the newer chapters of the manga ..godhand Griffith (femto godhand) visits Griffith ..he states ..he came to see him ..because he wanted to feel his heart ---!!
