Actually in this case I think he's "acting like a girl in love", which he finds irritating because he doesn't want to love the other guy. I'd say it's more a throwaway comment, rather than a stereotype.

i don't like these stereotypes about women in yaoi mangas either. and it seems like they can only speak about women badly all the time or they only know evil/stupid/selfish women... :/ that's disappointing :(

Not all yaoi is by women. there are some who are written by men.
Well it's not just in yaoi manga in movies and everyday life we always hear things like "acting like a teenage girl" or"don't cry like a girl " and many more
Everyone cries and falls in love but it's just more acceptable for girl to be like that than guys so they say it's "like a girl" when in fact it's just "like a human"
