I find shipping irl people weird, but I don't care as long as it's harmless fun. It's when you start invading lives with your fanfic does it turn into a problem. I'm sure idols and celebrities are fully aware of fanfic, but not all of them are comfortable with it. Fanfic (especially if it's one that's sexual) is NOT something you should gift unless you 100% know the person(s) is okay with receiving it. There's a difference between saying two people look cute together, and never shutting up about it. Imagine if someone you know kept on shoving fantasies they have of a friend you're close to into your face. You don't want that person making things weird between you and your friend either by constantly bringing it up; or even ruining the friendship. I think this is how Hyungwoo feels. I don't know if I've done a good enough job of explaining myself; I am bad at putting my thoughts into words.
