It seems a lot of people have picked up on a recent shift in plot in this story, for the worse unfortunately. I think that the author came up with the plot concept "gender bender: billionaire edition" but didn't flesh out the whole story. It almost seems as if they have no idea where the story is supposed to go and they are running out of ideas and creativity.
Recently I've been moving from manga to novels for some new material. I found one in particular that in the beginning made fun of dog blood plots and dumb tropes, but after about 100 chapters, it started to use those tropes. The same thing seems to be happening here. The interesting characters are becoming flat and exactly the same as a million other Chinese stories. I'm very sad to see this happen to this story. ╥﹏╥
