I see that happening... That may explain as well why he is so insecure about his looks. Wives from before may have told their husbands something like that so they would lis self confidence and stay with them forever.
okay! In my opinion. We all know that they called Halstead family as a monster or whatsoever. And my theory is that the first one who put the rumor of it is the first generation of Halstead.So. every wives who sees the beauty of their husband behind the mask, always start a rumor of "their husband is ugly" . that's why the rumors continues until the new generation.
