so yes, the og heroine is evil and jealous of our mc. but that is because she is being pressured by the teacher you talked about in your comment above. she is jealous that she worked so hard, coming from a poor noble household and getting sponsored by said teacher. as it was mentioned in the first chapter of the manga, their world has a rule that nobles belong with nobles and commoners with commoners. Ian's mother was a commoner who married the king, that's why the scene at her funeral was lifeless as there was many people who did not support her for being a commoner (cuz u know, caste system) heroine is jealous that our mc, who is essentially a rich commoner, has better grades, is doing better than her and her family financially, and many other things. Her sponsor is also trying to push heroine to become crown princess, seeing that louise is unfit because she is a commoner

now for your previous comment, it was actually the red head woman who fcked louise over for cheating. she is very influential and is the sponsor of og heroine, as well as being very stuck with the ideal of the caste system in their world. when seeing that louise is getting along with Ian, she tries to break them apart with heroine. red head was also the sponsor of heroine's love interest. and yes, this biatch was the one who slapped louise on the basis that she "cheated on her test" (fking boitch planted that shyte)
