I wish he’d tell the cops that her mom was abusive :(

He doesn't have prooff now does he? throwing excuses blaming someone without basis would actually make him look even worse in that situation.

Her mom has issues but I wouldn't say she was abusing her daughter. She got her practically "caged" but that would fall under overprotectiveness rather than abuse.
