I’m not sure if he actually committed suicide or fell into deep water at night and consequently drowned. They mention he couldn’t swim so the body of water was probably deeper than the pond him and the teacher were in.
I don't understand the last story, so the older brother commited suicide because the younger one wished him to disapear because he slept with the women he loves.
