I actually don't like cats that much. I'm a dog lover. :P I just don't grasp how the death of an animal would be a "laughing out loud" matter, whether it be a human or non-human animal's death (unless it's the death of an unsympathetic antagonist or the story is transparently comedic/satiric).
Although admittedly, it would be hysterical if he accidentally 'killed' a flower.
