gotta say. May be an unpopular opinion but I do not like Eusto. He claimed to know the empress, even loved her. And yet he could not see that she was being poisoned? Did not confront her during the turmoil? Potted with the apposing party for who knows how long? Snapped after one conversation with her about imprisoning the Duke even though she never ordered for the Duke's execution? ... That does not speak of the kind of loyalty and trust the author wants me to think they had. Very wishy-washy sounding to me. I hope she confronts him on his behavior at some point. I don't think I, personally, would every truly trust Eusto after all that.

You should think the same of everyone who plotted against her. (:

Perhaps if the author expressed each of the characters, Felix, Count Venus and everyone else realizing that they needed to rebel people wouldn’t solely be hating on Eusto. Everyone collectively decided that Julia needed to be killed. Everyone who joined the rebellion decided it. It was Eusto’s idea, but he had support from people like Felix and Count Venus. There are no if’s and’s or but’s.

I think is a quite popular opinion.
I mean, so far, that is indeed a major plot hole, the drug was something (so far) not even MC knew, as she does not even mention it, neither she showed sympathy for that in her own world.

There is a lot of details left out, for example how much last that behavior?, what other horrific stuff the previous empress did to have such a bad image?, how could Eusto NOT know that her orders were never to execute them?.
I think maaaaaaaaybe the empress implied that to him to pissed him off? But it was not an official order or something? I don't have idea!, is either an important plot hole or a fail in Eusto's character, I personally like glasses guy better.

nobody in the empire, not even the empress herself, knew about the smuggled drugs that were put into her drinks every night. eusto's reaction is actually pretty normal considering he was always there to witness her downfall. idk how long he's been plotting against her but when he had that last conversation with her about the execution of her most loyal servants, it was the last straw. his character is lacking a bit i must agree, i expected more from him but this is just the beginning.
