Yeah i wonder about that too, their part is the most confusing for me, idek if they know each other outside the game or do they know that they play togheter or that they have feelings for one another

Actually at the start it seemed like only Lala (the publisher) knew that Heke-san was who she was playing with and the person submitting their manuscript to her, but in latter chapters Heke was actually watching Lala’s stream before and stalked her and eventually found out the company she works at and started working there and also befriended Lala. They technically know each other outside of the game but the other doesn’t know they know who they are.
