I have a questions from some of you famous managago people (like sakuracry, Kathy, etc). How the hell do you guys remember so many manga? I've asked for recommendations on here before, and then half an hour later, you guys have given me a giant list of manga. It's not that you guys give me the links to your lists (sometimes you do), but for the most part, you give individual links to the manga. I just don't understand how you remember which manga is which. I always end up thinking, "What was that manga that went like this and this?" And you guys are like, "Oh, you want super possessive seme? There's this one and this one and this one and...."
Just...wow. I seriously applaud you guys. And thank you for always helping us! :D

I save the names of manga and attach a summary clip to help me remember what the manga was about.
( ̄▽ ̄)// For ex. sayonara itoshi no my friend - coworkers>Friends>Lovers & BLS which means cowokers to friends to lovers and Brother's Love story
That's my system i use to remember all the manga and books i have read it helps when people ask or if i need something to read ill also put rating i give to manga so i know if it is worth reading again. R 1,2,3,4,5 R means Rating 1 star 2 star 3 star 4 star 5 star

Well i've been reading yaoi for a long time so I think that has helped. I mean, i'm really good at remembering art work which sometimes helps me remember the artists name.

Before we could make accounts I kept a list with summaries on my desktop and now I have semi detailed lists. Kathy is way better at remembering specific manga though. Thot does great summaries and Sakuracracy has some really good lists too. A lot of it is just reading tons of manga and the other is keeping track of it.

Wow how long is it? I was never good at making lists before mangago implemented that option, since I suck at making summaries.

Oh dear. Then you're seriously gifted. I've been reading for a while, but I can only remember the mangakas for distinct art styles (e.g nekota yonezou, junko, etc). Maybe in a few years, I'll be able to do what you do!! For now, I'll probably stick to lists...
    Thank you for replying! :D

Ahh...I have the first part down completely. I can read a lot of manga no problem. I guess I'll just have to learn to keep track of it/write it down as soon as I read it! Thanks for replying! :D

I think I'll start doing that. And wow, your brief summaries seem pretty easy to understand! I think I'll try using your advice!! Thank you for replying! :D

Originally I had three text docs but I combined them into one and I think it had somewhere between 150-200 manga with summaries on it. I used bookmarks for my shoujo since back then I had most of those memorized.

Thx, Blue. I keep detailed summaries because, unlike the superwomen of yaoi, I can't remember all the manga I've read. I kept clicking onto manga I'd already read and thinking, "Jeez, this seems familiar..."

Well i don't know if I would call it gifted lol. I just love focusing on other peoples art (dissecting the way they draw eyes, hair, mouths, etc. Probably cause I wanted to me a mangaka when I first started reading manga ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭). Though lists are probably easier, especially with mangago's options.

Wow! I remember I tried to make a list when I first started reading manga (without any summary) and it kept getting longer, but I didn't know what was what. I think that's one of the reasons why i've gotten use to memorizing stuff instead.

    Blue March 21, 2015 3:44 am

That was my problem. I would put the name and link but no summary and would forget what it was about. That's when I started putting short summaries to trigger my memory. At this point I've read so much that even something I read a day or two ago I might not remember the name of lol.
