I'm still totally grossed out. It's because the author's story was good until she let the fucking fans pressure her into eliminating the right seme and substituting in a stupid silver haired extra that she dusted off and stuck in. I hate it. I hate it that the fans, who are terrible writers, took over and started dictating while the author just sits back and takes notes, saying "yah sur whatever you want" I hate the fans. I hate it that I now have to be nervous that this will happen again with other authors letting the idiot fans have their way.
I hate it that the real story is gone and now just feels like a phantom limb that should be there instead of the inferior fan-demanded shit that's there now.
I'd like to see the real story that the author intended instead of this dumbass syrupy slop, and I hate everyone that approves of what happened
and you've got to be an idiot if you think downvotes mean anything to me.

I totally agree, I mean yes, he was the better choice (realistically speaking) BUT it's not real life so it should be exciting and have ups and downs, not just take the extra with the unrequired love and make him the main lead!! It felt so lukewarm and as if something went wrong since I feel that the author began writing without having any plans for a serious love triangle but had to because of the fans. Also the author could just make a side story where he would find someone if the fans wanted a happy end for him!!
(Sorry for any mistakes since english is not my main language and I am quite frustrated with how it ended)

I'm very glad someone else had similar feelings. I felt my stomach drop when I saw what happened. The relationship with the redhead (hondo or hongo)? was so interesting and had so much potential for drama and growth. Ian and the redhead had this kind of chemistry, and I'm sure it wasn't easy for the author to create that effect, then she just had to scrap it. They would have been a flashy couple, while Ian with the silver hair...ho hum. lived happily ever after. met his parents. happy boring guy. boring parents. lol

I know right? I mean everything was so easy and so out of nowhere....
the only reason I could accept the whitehead one would be if there where more chapters where he and the uke had more time to interact and know each other(so he can stop naturally been just an extra and not as rush as it end up) and had at least one or two problems that didn't have anything to do with the redhead...I mean even when the uke was about to be raped by the two thugs, the one who saved him was the redhead!!! I mean....it is so random!! ヽ(`Д´)ノ

I hated it when, after Ian and Hondo were split up, they met up and were going to sleep together one last time. Hondo the redhead had been so upset when he found out that Ian had been about to tell him he liked him, so now Red is getting another chance to win Ian back. This is where, I believe, the author made that abrupt switch to silver hair.

Hondo would have been so happy to have another chance, he had grown a lot, he really wanted to be with Ian, so then what happens? The author changed everything so that instead of the lovemaking scene playing out as it should have, as I was waiting to see, Hondo abuses Ian in bed! It made NO sense. Of course, that was the point where author had to start vilifying Hondo so she could dust off boring old silver and stick him in there. I really hated it.
Those scenes in the parking lot with hondo were so heartbreaking, and then the worst possible outcome .... because of pressure from the stupid fans. I can't say enough bad words about them. LOL sorry. I'm just so pissed when I think of the implications, that a bunch of illiterate-ass fans could sway an author that much..... shouldn't have happened. The fans, each one of them, why don't they feel guilty over what they caused, you know? It was a nasty tasteless thing to do, putting pressure on an artist to change their art.... It's so upsetting..

totally agree and here I am thinking....if the author truly wanted ian to be with the whitehead couldn't he/she tried to make it seem more natural? I think it wasn't only the fans pressure but also of the ones in charge of the publication since wouldn't the person in charge be the one who gives the ok to any changes that happens to the story? If not for that then maybe the author is just too weak to the critics of his/hers fans. which is, in my opinion, not ok because it is something he/she poor his/her soul to make and by letting others reform it as they see fit, is something that shouldn't be acceptable by any artist (I am talking from personal experience)

me too. I can't accept it. It really hit me hard as an artist. It's complicated, I think, on the management/editor end - except for my stuff being on a Korean platform, I don't know much about Korean manhwa publishing. maybe you know more than me, but I doubt the change would have been made if not for management persuading, giving its okay, or even pressuring the author. I think there's also the Hogu situation.... many people were put off by that manhwa. maybe the author just didn't want to face a similar situation. can't blame her. I'm not pissed at Aeju. I hate the way she was treated. I just can't accept it. "Change your art to appeal to humanity's lowest common denominator" that's so offensive. Art should require people to stretch not stoop. Maybe next time, with Love Shuttle's soaring popularity, Aeju can tell the fans to piss off.

exactly it is really unfortune that many artist must go through this just to appeal to the majority when that means killing their own feelings and art. In the end of the day all kinds of art are meant to be something personal and meaningful. I believe that all of us would rather read something interesting instead of the book, manhwa in this case, that has been promoted the most and the sadder thing is that many people try to live through this and have no choice but to obey the editors even if it is something they hate(this is also one of the reasons that I keep my art as a hobby, that occasionally brings some money, rather than my actual job)
