She had an interview before the wedding and she said she wanted 4 children.
The interview appeared in the news paper the day of the wedding and he read it. He got cold feet, he didn't want any children because he thought they would get inevitably divorced in the future when they stopped loving each other and if they had children they would suffer because of the divorce.
Then he came to the conclusion they wanted different things and they were not in the same social standing so she left her alone in the altar.
In short he is an asshole.
I've read this one several times and I still dont get the reason why he left her in the first place.
Am I missing something?
