My favorite is Yoite.

And though he dies in the manga and not the anime I prefer the manga. Feelings are overflowing but it had to happen. Anime lost sense to me with him to be peacefully waiting to die like the had going.

starting at the beginning is the best with all manga that anime is based off of.
i quite like them both. gave us a look of "if this had happened instead".
anime will bust my heart open forever and ever. but the manga is also damn good.

That is so true. After reading this I just can't watch the anime. I cried so much because of sadness but at the end they were tears of happiness. The manga is so much deeper than the anime (in my opinion).
SO.... how is this compared to the anime? Cuz I just finished it and the wave of feels is real. Can someone give me the chapter where the story starts deviating? Thanks

I just peaked into the last chapter and god am I glad that raikou is alive. The anime killed my two favourite characters and the emotional strain was too much. But here... it seems Kouichi....*hard sob And Yoite....*drowns in tears
