this girl has a treasured rag doll but one day her mom throws it away by accident. stuff happens and somehow she goes into the toy world where all the toys that have been thrown away gather and live. while looking for her doll she experiences hate from toy hoodlums since humans are the ones who initially threw them away. she finds her doll but her doll has started another life with another doll and tells her that once dolls come into this world they cant go back. they part tearfully but happily and when the girl goes back home she finds an apology letter from her mom and a poor but earnest attempt at another rag doll
