Ichinose was prim and judgey about it, but that was probably because he already unconsciously liked Shun. The mangaka wasn't being judgemental or critical with the way they're presented in the story, is what I mean.
Of course it wasn't going to be endgame and wasn't going to last, that wasn't the point of them at all. But I really like it when the casual relationship is totally healthy, honest and equal, and the fuck buddy is a good person. I hope Saoji gets a spin-off! Or that at least we see him with a love of his own (m or f, since he's bi) briefly at the end of the story or in an extra.
