They could've resolved it better if they communicated properly from the very beginning. If it still doesn't work out then they could finally realize that they're just not meant to be together. Why go all those useless thing of hurting each other and 'use' someone else to move on. If Hannie and Kangwoo told each other those things then both of them probably try to work it out at least. That's why it frustrates me a bit that Hannie was able to be honest with Gyun-tae(?) about what he wants when he could've done that with Kangwoo from the very beginning.
