Don`t know how long she had been living with her aunt and uncle but poor nutition could also be a cause. It didn't sound like they were treating her well.
IRL, I have quite a few friends that are short enough they can sometimes get a child's fare still. Tallness is recessive and harder on the heart after a certain point. And quite a few actors are smaller than they appear on camera. My friends and I went to the Harry Potter exhibit when it was traveling around and Emma Watson's clothes wouldn't have fit any of us after we hit puberty. And the lady who played Lestrange was super tiny too.

I mean I’m 17 rn at 5’3/163cm... at age 12 I’m pretty sure I was around her height too lol (..or I’m her height rn cause idek how tall she is and how tall the other people are) least it’s only a 3 year age gap though. Once she hits 15+ I’m sure we’ll be chillin then
as the second tallest person in my family I salute to those who don't reach at least five feet or more. Also I totally believe that she is smaller than him since with the age difference I think he's already hit puberty.
