Nope, I remember them saying exactly this in both stories. All beasts are born male, that's why they need omegas. I'm pretty sure of it
actually i just read pendulum where it explains clearly. it says human omegas are the only that give birth to beasts. no gender is mentioned. there are alphas , betas and omegas , females , males and a third sex
so if its a boy it would have been kun? but then - i was just going to say if there were females therianthropes but i remembered the one on the alphas human lap.
