To any person infertility can be a huge shock straight or not. Yet I think even if he was fertile their marriage would break up anyway because with a child being born the hope of future would be too strong and instead of being a coward he would be more courageous enough to pursue for something that he couldn't do years ago. I have seen people getting out of a relationship after a child is born because they feel their part to "serve" the society is over now they can live their own life.
