Also bi, pansexual, demisexual ect.. (basically people who are not only attracted to the opposite sex but also the same and the middle) exist O_O what the might be refering to is demisexual.
Demisexual is not having sexual attraction to someone until after you already have had a connection for an undetermined amout of time and is considered to come under the asexual section of sexuallity. The ones under the bi section would be bisexual, pansexual and polysexual

People complain about that usually because the stories frame straight as the default and when they fall for a guy it's something "weird". Also some seem to have internalized homophobia which is fine but in the end it never gets resolved.

You know, it’s annoying that some people complain about I’m straight but I’m only gay for you. Or the seme or uke should be gay. Straight guy can’t fall in love with a straight guy. They should be gay, someone should be gay. I mean come on!
Things like that happen in reality.
Please, don’t push anyone on what gender label they are.
Don’t even label anyone! Let them explore who they are.
That’s just how LOVE works for some.
