it is more of a concept of who is the TOP and BOTTOM more than gender roles really. keep in mind i have SEVERAL lesbian daughters who have already MARRIED their partners and a couple of other daughters who are in relationships but have not tied to knot ( i live in the states where same sex marriage is legal FINALLY )

YES THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I WAS SAYING! the entire point of a wlw relationship is that they're BOTH women. there is no boyfriend
i live in the us my oldest daughter lives in japan with her wife and my younger daughter lives half her year here and half in japan with her significant other as well
this was great ! the only thing that bothered me is the boyfriend and girlfriend thing, no one's the boyfriend in a lesbian relationship they are both girlfriends, it's annoying how many people ask us especially gay couples who is the man and who is the woman, there is only two girls or two boys in a homosexual relationship, if someone has this misconception please educate them !
