true but i don't think they knew about depression being a mental illness and mental illnesses were something frowned upon at the time then, maybe her family just wanted her to get back on her feet and become a person her mother would be proud of

i found it really hurtful that they expected her to bounce out of her depression that they caused. Depression doesn't work like that!!!! You can't just bounce out of it, it's NOT A PHASE!!! It's a mental illness and they should've helped in some way. I'm honestly so tired of the way everyone treats senienna. Even if Senienna pushed them away when the depression got to the point that she attempted suicide, they were supposed to DO SOMETHING!!! Yet they sat pretty on their thrones and did shit. Idk about others but I ain't forgiving shit like that any time soon. (︶︿︶)＝凸
