Need help finding a yaoi manga!!

I don’t remember if it was a short manga or a oneshot, but the plot goes like this (according to what I can remember): the protagonist is sent out to space to find life in another planet. He receives this technology from the person he’s in love with (who’s working in the same department? as he is), and the technology can morph into anyone he wants it to. Obviously he uses it to relieve/satisfy his feelings. He believes that his crush doesn’t realize his feelings but there’s a huge plot twist at the end. Earth was destroyed by a meteor(?) and the last recording his love interest sent to him spilled out all the truths, about how Earth was gone, and that he had actually loved mc too. If anyone has read something similar to this before, pls tell me. I’m desperately searching for this masterpiece.
