well, he was harmed by that jerk (lex) he step on his hand while roy was picking some broken glasses on the floor and so what I think it might had happened it's Eve watched that escene and hurry to helped roy. because later whe can see how both of them make a signal throught the window, thats when lex find both of them talking (eve and lapel)
