As an addition to your Question #2, whoever bears an heir (a boy), that concubine will be the empress. The other 2 will still be concubines. They are married to Lucius for political reasons and so there will be higher chances to have an heir in the future. No love involved at all but it's okay as what I have explained in my spoilers.
For Question #3, the tranlated novel is in Chapter 269 now, and I can assure you, after the steamy night that Lucius and Paul had, things between them will most likely change soon.
They had sex in an inn after getting drunk so much (after Paul got broken hearted because of her liar fiance). Lucius confessed his love while having sex but Paul liked what they did. But both did not remember what happened last night except they knew that they had sex.
Thank you so much for the answer, it does clarify a lot of things, I really appreciate it. A little bit sad about having to have a heir, even if there's no love involved it's still a big step. I guess I am just a hopeless romantic and only want them having each other in a relationship, not other concubines and kids, but I guess that's how it has to be when he wants to keep his power. Quite glad about Paul being friends with the concubines, it's a nice note.

Okay so the first question is that Paul has a fiancee, who she doesn't end up marrying because he was just her. Paul falls in love with him? Do they go forward in the relationship, like doing the devil's tango or it's just innocent?
So next question it's quite similar. I also read that the emperor has 3 wives. How does it work? Does he have to have kids with each of them or it's more on a solely alliance without the need of a heir? How does Paul feel about it?
So last question is about the main couple, that I am starting to get a little desperate it hasn't happened but I do think the wait will be worth it. So, I read the last episode of the novel, quite short but it ended in a nice note. I was wondering if someone could clarify what happened at the end. As I understood, they spent the night together, is that right?
