I actually quite like Aseph's unreasonable side, because it reminds us that he's a deeply flawed character who just wants to love Elzay. Like he's literally supposed to be the villain, he can never come across as perfect and I like that (I'm tired of perfect ML's). Also despite his personality, he adjusts himself soo much for Elzay, the effort he puts in kinda makes the love sweeter. Yes he's possessive, but unlike other people, he's never received love before, so obviously now that he has it, he's going to grab hold of it, we cannot expect him to know exactly how or the best way to do that.
